Jacob Shecter, also known as Coby, grew up in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He has always been highly active and started playing hockey at 7 years old. He later participated in his high school golf and cross country teams. In high school he learned how to snowboard, and has been chasing snow every season since. After high school, he attended Michigan State University where he studied Kinesiology and specialized in Health Promotion. After graduating with a BSc in Kinesiology, he moved back home and became a Personal Trainer around the metro-Detroit area, and coached at Orange Theory Fitness. Soon after, he started working for Lululemon, which inspired him to pursue his goal of becoming a yoga teacher. Coby completed an alignment-based yoga training that really complemented his kinesiology background. His desire to do even more to help people pursue their own wellness and movement goals led him to Chiropractic Medicine. He attended University of Western States in Portland, Oregon for his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Coby has worked in both Michigan and Colorado, he has experience in sports medicine as well as peripheral neuropathy and regenerative medicine. In his spare time Coby enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking and spending time with his dog, Reggie!
Many people have grown to accept less than 100% of their bodies and their lives. They accept pain as a normal part of aging.
At 100% Chiropractic, we believe differently. We know that your body is always on your side, striving to heal. Just because your body is brilliant at adapting to compensate for injury and imbalance doesn’t mean you should make it compensate and live with the results. Why force your body to operate at less than 100% when more is possible?
We have two missions: first, we want to help you work through and recover from injury, pain, or other symptoms that interfere with your 100% lifestyle; next, we want to help you maintain your progress with routine wellness care.
There are several reasons our patients come for their first visits:
After we work through the most troubling systems, our patients continue with chiropractic care–not because we insist or because we make them feel dependent upon us, but because, if we’ve done our jobs correctly, they have grown to understand that regular chiropractic care is as essential for a healthy lifestyle as exercise and proper nutrition. Here’s how we contribute to your 100% over the long term:
Corrective Care: By restoring and maintaining your spine’s natural curves, your body is able to communicate efficiently with itself. It’s only with clear communication within the nervous system that the body has the potential to achieve its unique 100%.
Sports Chiropractic: Sports chiropractic deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. Sports chiropractors have extensive training in evaluating muscular-skeletal problems related to sports participation or overuse.
Pediatric Chiropractic Care: The force of birth often causes our first spinal subluxations. By correcting these with gentle adjustments shortly after the baby is born, his or her little spine has the opportunity to grow as intended, unleashing the potential for your child’s optimum health.
Massage Therapy: Massage and chiropractic care go hand-in-hand. Tension and tight muscles can actually cause or hold subluxations. By relaxing the muscles, chiropractic treatment becomes more effective.
We are dedicated to your long-lasting wellness. For us, it’s not just about making your pain go away. At 100% Chiropractic, we want you continue on a journey to 100% well-being that lasts a lifetime.
Your treatment plan is personalized to suit your unique needs. Chiropractic x-rays help us monitor your progress–and allow you to see the progress you’re already feeling in your body. As your body changes, your treatment plan may change. It’s all part of our commitment to treating you as a unique individual, taking into consideration your lifestyle, physical challenges, and concerns.
