In 2018, she obtained her Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Chemical Process from the University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo Campus. It was during this time that she developed a strong interest in pursuing a career in holistic and preventative health, which ultimately guided her towards the field of chiropractic care.

Dr. López Aquino accomplished her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During her time as a student at Life University, María was actively involved as a leader. She served as the president of the Hispanic Chiropractic Club, where she had the honor of empowering, leading, and serving the Hispanic community. While in school, she received comprehensive training to provide care for geriatric patients, athletes, pediatrics, and pregnant women. She is proficient in various techniques including Full Spine Diversified, Thompson, Toggle, Activator, Cox Flexion, and Pediatrics. In addition, Dr. López achieved certification in Prenatal Care with Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), enabling her to provide high-quality care to pediatric and pregnant women patients. Furthermore, Dr. María completed the Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) program, which enhanced her diagnostic and treatment proficiency for extremity-related issues.
